Established in 2003, Qingdao Jingkang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for Kidney Diseases is a multidisciplinary medical institution that integrates scientific research, teaching, and clinical practice. It combines traditional Chinese and Western medicine and was founded with the approval of the Qingdao municipal health authorities as a specialized TCM hospital. The hospital currently occupies a building area of 8,000 square meters and has a capacity of 100 inpatient beds. It comprises three clinical wards and a hemodialysis center.

Female, IgG4-related retroperitoneal fibrosis causing compression of the urinary tract and subsequent renal impairment; undergoing intermittent hemodialysis.
- Pre-treatment (A): Diffuse thickening and enhancement of the paraspinal soft tissue anterior to the L5–sacral region (red arrow).
- Post-treatment (B): Significant reduction in the extent of the abnormal paraspinal soft tissue lesion.
Middle-aged to elderly male with impaired renal function, right ureteral obstruction, and hydronephrosis of the right kidney; diagnosed with IgG4-related interstitial nephritis.
- Before treatment (A/C): Significant hydronephrosis of the right kidney and ureter; a patchy soft-tissue mass is visible at the vesicoureteric junction (the entry point of the lower ureter into the bladder).
- Follow-up 12 months after treatment (B/D): Hydronephrosis has completely resolved; the soft-tissue mass in the lower ureter has disappeared, and the double-J stent has been removed.
TCM Nephropathy
